2024 4-H Rabbit Project

The 2024 North Central District 4-H Poultry and Rabbit Show will be held the first Saturday in May at the Forsyth County Agricultural Building, 1450 Fairchild Road Winston-Salem, NC 27105. The show is for youth ages 5-18 (as of 1/1/2024).

Youth ages 5-18 that wish to show their own rabbit should register and learn more here before March 8 and pay your $5 registration fee to their county Cooperative Extension Center. There will be an optional rabbit showmanship workshop on Saturday, March 9. In addition to showing their rabbit, youth ages 8-18 should also complete a 4-H Project Record Book.

4-H Poultry Project

Youth ages 5-18 that wish to show birds at this show, should:

  • Register and pay a $25 registration fee by September 8. Youth will receive 5 chicks that “should” all be hens. Chicks will be vaccinated for Mareks Disease.
  • Chicks can be picked up at your County Extension Center on November 6 (IF the USPS delivers on time). Participants should also submit a 4-H Project Record book on their project by April 19 in order to be eligible to compete on the morning of May 4.

×September 8, 2023, 5 p.m. – Poultry Registration and Payment Deadline – Payment is due to your County Extension Office for the chicks. Find your county livestock or 4-H Extension Agent or the address to your County Center.
