Come join N.C. Cooperative Extension's Community Garden Coordinator, Matthew Scoggins for a look into growing fall crops! This will be a hands-on class and all participants can take home some starter plants and small containers. We'll discuss everything from Carrots and Collards to Spinach and Turnips. Square foot gardening, companion planting and other techniques to maximize harvest and save space will be discussed. We will discuss planting for fall vegetable harvests like leafy greens, cauliflower, root vegetables and flowers to support pollinators through the fall.
