Forsyth Shines Bright at NC 4-H Electric Programs

— Written By

Forsyth County had six youth and one adult volunteer participate in the 73rd Annual North Carolina 4-H Electric Congress. This year’s event was held virtually. The annual event is sponsored by Duke Energy and Dominion Energy.

Electric Congress is held for county winning 4-H’ers who participate in the electric program. To attend, youth must be 11 years of age (by Jan.1st). Each county may send their top two project winners, the top two portfolio winners (three years of project work), and one electric program recruiter (the youth that has done the best job of recruiting other youth to participate in the electric program). This year’s delegates included:

  • Luke Arrowood, Electric Portfolio Winner
  • Calleigh Wilson, Electric Portfolio Winner
  • Nathan Patton, Electric Project Winner
  • Victoria Richardson, Electric Project Winner
  • Zane Richardson, Electric Recruiting Delegate
  • Carla Arrowood, 4-H Volunteer

Luke was recognized as the third-place Portfolio winner for all of the Duke Energy Carolinas territory and earned stock in the electric cooperatives, as well as a cash prize!
