Join Us for Forks on Friday in January & February 2023!

We are excited to resume our Forks on Friday education series this winter with classes in January and February 2023. Bring your lunch to enjoy while learning gardening skills at these classes on Fridays from 12:00 - 1:00 PM.

Registration for each program will be available 2 weeks prior to the program date on our Eventbrite page, visit go.ncsu.edu/forsyth-eventbrite for details. If you need assistance with registration, call 336-703-2850.

Programs will be held in-person at the N.C. Cooperative Extension, Forsyth County Center, 1450 Fairchild Rd, Winston-Salem, NC 27105.

The winter 2023 schedule of classes is as follows:
January 6 - Growing Microgreens

Microgreens are flavorful, nutrition-dense, young seedlings of vegetables or herbs. Learn the basics of microgreen gardening and gain hands-on experience preparing and seeding trays using materials you likely already have.

February 3 - Native Plant Gardens: Tips for Success

Creating an attractive and successful native plant garden involves understanding some basic garden design techniques as well as knowledge about the plants you install. Learn some essential planning steps and plant choices that will bring you success.
