Join Us for Forks on Friday Gardening Classes in Spring 2023

We invite you to join us for our Forks on Friday education series in spring 2023!

Forks on Friday is a series of lunch-and-learn gardening classes held in-person at the N.C. Cooperative Extension, Forsyth County Center, 1450 Fairchild Rd, Winston-Salem, NC 27105. This is where garden forks meet dinner forks!

Bring your lunch to enjoy while learning gardening skills at these classes on Fridays from 12:00 - 1:00 PM.

Registration for each program will be available 2 weeks prior to the program date on our Eventbrite pageIf you need assistance with registration, call 336-703-2850.


March 3 - Creative Vegetable Gardening

April 14 - Share the Beauty: Gardening by Division

Leslie Rose, Horticulture Agent & Director of the Arboretum at Tanglewood Park

Over time, perennial plants in the garden can outgrow the space where they are planted and need to be divided. Gain some tips on how to divide perennial plants, as well as how to garden with passalong plants.

A xeric garden requires plants that thrive in hot, dry habitats. Learn from the experience of gardeners at the Paul J. Ciener Botanical Garden about selecting plants that thrive in this environment and creating an appropriate habitat.
