Farmer Field Day — July 9, 9am–4pm; N.C. A&T University Farm Pavilion, 3020 McConnell Rd.

The Southern Piedmont Climate-Smart Team would like to invite you to participate in one of the North Carolina Farmer Field Days this upcoming Tuesday, July 9th!

This field day and the other two offer educational opportunities for farmers enrolled in the Southern Piedmont Climate-Smart Project and anyone interested in learning climate-smart farming practices such as roller crimping, plasticulture, and more. Participants can interact one-on-one with Southern Piedmont Climate-Smart Project team members, take a field tour, learn more about the project, and more! Attendance is free, and registration is required. Lunch is provided for all attendees.

See roller crimpers, no-till transplanters, no-till seed drills, plastic layers, a BCS, and a flail mower in action! We'll have field demos for the equipment listed and a chance for you to ask our incredible technical assistant whatever questions you may have!

Field day locations and dates:
  • Tuesday, July 9th, in Greensboro, NC at NC A&T University Farm Pavilion
