Blackberry Pruning Workshop
Learn the basics of pruning blackberry plants with hands-on practice!
Join Horticulture Agent, Celine Richard, to learn how to care for your blackberry bushes from season to season. Blackberries should be pruned back annually to maintain plant health, encourage new growth, increase yields and berry size and facilitate ease of harvest year to year! This workshop will guide participants through the steps of pruning and training blackberry vines to maximize plant health and production for the coming years.
HOW TO PREPARE:
- Dress for cool weather and possibly wet conditions.
- This workshop is hands-on. Participants are welcome to bring hand held pruners and gloves of their own, though some tools will be available for use on site as well.
