Plant & Seed Swap at Second Harvest
Too many plants? Not enough plants? Second Harvest Food Bank and NC Cooperative Extension, Forsyth County Center are collaborating to address both these challenges during our annual Seed & Plant Swap.
The event is free to attend, and there is no cost associated with any of the seeds and plants. Doors open at 9 AM, but if you attend horticultural Extension programs like the irrigation workshop or if you drop your plants and seeds off at Second Harvest from 2-4 PM on Friday, October 9th, you will receive a coveted golden ticket, granting you a fifteen minute early entrance to the swap.
During the event, there will also be breakout room educational sessions on gardening topics. Stay after the event to enjoy a tour of the beautiful Fitzgerald Teaching Garden.
There are plenty of seeds that need sorting in the meantime, and seed sorting events will be held at Second Harvest on Tuesdays from 10 AM - 12 PM leading up to the event.
