Learn With Us at Fall 2025 Arboretum Adult Education Classes!

Our Arboretum Adult Education series returns this fall, with programs at a variety of times and locations.
Join us this fall to learn more about gardening! These programs are presented by N.C. Cooperative Extension, Forsyth County Center, and the NC State Extension Master Gardener℠ volunteers of Forsyth County.
Please note the time and location of classes, as they vary.
Registration is required due to space limitations. Registration for each program will be available 2 weeks prior to the program date and will close 24 hours prior to the program. September 24 │Lawn Care in the Piedmont
6-7 PM │ Virtual (registered participants will receive a link)
Managing a lawn in the Piedmont requires seasonal attention. Learn about key tasks to improve your lawn this fall and throughout the seasons.

October 22 │ Adding Fall & Winter Interest in Your Garden
12-1 PM │ Walnut Hall at Tanglewood Park
Join us to hear about favorite plants to add interest to the garden during fall and winter. The focus of this class will be on native plants with a few other options sprinkled in.

November 12 │ Lazy Gardener’s Early Sowing
12-1 PM │ Walnut Hall at Tanglewood Park
Discover plants that you can easily grow from seed in recycled containers. The class will guide you through a “set and forget” technique where you leave the containers outside and watch the seeds germinate in the spring.
