NOTE: This class will be held at WALNUT HALL in Tanglewood Park.  Follow signs to reach Walnut Hall.

There are so many possibilities to enhance the garden once you venture out into the world of hydrangeas.  Attributes such as leaf color, season of bloom, and flower diversity give more than you could imagine.  Come on a journey exploring what really is out there. Jon Roethling, Curator of Mariana H. Quebein Arboretum and Botanical Garden will present this program.

Forsyth County Agriculture Agent Mary Jac Brennan will be giving tours of N.C. Cooperative Extension’s Pawpaw Demonstration Orchard at the Forsyth County Agricultural Building on these dates:
∙ Wednesday August 22 at 5:30 pm
∙ Friday August 24 at 10:00 am
∙ Saturday August 25 at 2:00 pm
The orchard was planted in 2009 and has been producing fruit since 2012. The pawpaw tree produces a large edible fruit and is native to our region. The tree has an attractive habit of growth and is well-suited for residential gardens as well as for commercial cultivation.
No registration is required…just meet front of the Forsyth County Agricultural Building a few minutes before the start of the tour. Please wear walking shoes as the terrain is sloped and can be slippery. The tour will be cancelled in the event of rain. The orchard is located at 1450 Fairchild Road in Winston-Salem.
The orchard is looking great and we hope to see you on a tour!
