2020 4-H Summer Adventures – UPDATE

Forsyth County 4-H Members,
Due to the threat of COVID-19, we want to inform our 4-H family members that we will explore virtual/online events for summer programming. This includes 4-H Congress, over-night Camp, Citizenship Focus, and summer adventures. We regret that these events cannot be held face-to-face. The state staff is working hard to explore offering these events online. More details will be provided about these virtual opportunities as they become available. Additionally, presentation and talent show will not be held face-to-face on any level (county, district, or state). The state specialist is working on providing guidelines to do virtual submission, as well. We hope that you still plan to participate in these events and are using this time to prepare for them.
The 2020 Spring 4-H Paper Clover campaign with Tractor Supply Company (originally scheduled to take place 4/29-5/10) will be postponed to a later date. These dates are currently being discussed between Tractor Supply and the National 4-H Council. The next steps will be shared as they become available.
As you can imagine, this is disheartening news for us all. Many of our 4-H’ers look forward to our summer programs and events. In return, we enjoy catching up with our families and providing these opportunities.
We are diligently working to provide the same quality programs through the usage of virtual/online platforms. We ask that you please be patient as we all adjust to this new normal. If you have any questions we may be reached by email or by phone as we are working remotely and our office is closed.
Thank you for understanding,
April, Monique, and Dee
