On November 30, 2018, twenty-seven Trailblazer Teens 4-H Club members and their families volunteered at the Operation Christmas Child processing center with Samaritan’s Purse in Charlotte, NC. They inspected boxes and prepared them for shipping. Over 90,000 boxes were processed that day in Charlotte and will be delivered to children in Senegal (in Western Africa).
Afterward, the families enjoyed a meal together and some of the group visited the Live Nativity and Christmas decorations at the Billy Graham Library.
The Trailblazer Teens is a community service 4-H club that not only serves with Samaritan’s Purse, but also at:
  • Winston-Salem Rescue Mission
  • River Landing (food packaging)
  • Kerner Ridge Assisted Living
  • Dixie Classic Fair (trash pick-up)
  • No’bacco Kick Butts campaign
  • Project Linus
Club members have earned almost 900 hundred hours of community service time in 2018. Through their community service and leadership members have earned their Presidential Service Award, 4-H Achievement Award, college scholarships, and more.
