Through 4-H, almost 240,000 young people in North Carolina learn life skills and serve their communities each year. 4-H offers clubs, special interest programs, summer camps, and school enrichment programs. Guided by North Carolina Cooperative Extension educators and adult and teen volunteers, 4-H'ers gain knowledge, skills and experience that help them become responsible citizens and leaders.
The 2009 North Carolina 4-H State Theme is We Are 4-H. This will also be the theme for the 2009 Dixie Classic Fair 4-H Fair Boothes.
NC Cooperative Extension is based at North Carolina's two land-grant institutions, NC State University and NC A&T State University, in all 100 counties and on the Cherokee Reservation.
